An Appeal for
Lucky
We would like to share Lucky's story with
you. Please be aware the photos when first seen
are horrendous - he is no longer pretty, but this
little guy has the heart of a lion and needs all
our help.
Parichatt, our Co-ordinator in
charge of Sirius Thailand, sent the following
information through. We are now asking for funding
for Lucky to not only help with his present upkeep
but to also help to provide for an operation in
the future to repair his lower
jaw.
Worldwide Vets in the UK are assessing
his condition and a decision as to whether an
operation is feasible will be made. Either way,
his needs are clearly going to cost more than most
dogs in Thailand. At present he is under the care
of Vets in Bangkok on a daily basis. He is eating
and drinking and apart from his injuries, is a
very happy puppy. His new guardian is devoted to
Lucky and giving him the care he
deserves.
"The attached pictures are of a
puppy who was found unconscious near a railway in
Bangkok. It is suspected that he was run over by a
train but only part of his face is gone. The man
who found this puppy thought he was dead but he
was not. He moved and survived the night. He was
terribly injured when one of our members found him
at the hospital and the wound was worse. The man
keeps him at home and named him Lucky. He survives
the pain and everything. We raise some small money
to pay for the medicine and good food but we need
to have more money for the surgery in future. The
animal hospital charges him minimum but he has to
go to see the doctor every
day".

Any
help you can give to enable Lucky to have a better
quality of life will be greatly appreciated.
You can
help financially by donating securely through
PayPal on our web site. As a Registered Charity,
we are pleased to be able to accept donations
through credit or debit cards and you may be able
to get tax relief on your contribution. All
donations will go directly to Lucky's care.
Please help us to
give this brave little guy a chance! While we know
that there are countless thousands of
companion animals in Thailand desperate for help,
Lucky presents us with a rallying point, a symbol
that something CAN be done. If we can give hope to
one poor ravaged and disfigured puppy, then there
is also hope for the other discarded and ignored
companion animals of Thailand who need nothing
more than a loving home.
Our continued thanks to all of you for your
support and for caring enough to want to make
a
difference.
