British Comedian eats dog on UK TV
TV viewers in the UK may have seen a programme on Sunday evening entitled "Kimonos for Goalposts" with the British comedian Frank Skinner, supposedly a light-hearted look at the world of football.

Footage was shown of Skinner in Korea eating live Octopus (still moving).

He then went on to eat a meal of dog and seemed to find this quite humorous. In almost parrot-fashion, he repeated the nonsensical justifications made by the Koreans that these dogs were bred especiaaly for consumption (as if in some way that made a difference, even if if WERE true), and then went on to publicise the myth that dog meat increases virility.

Unfortunately, Skinner neglected to mention the extreme cruelty and pain that these animals are forced to endure, both before and during their deaths.

That a British celebrity with such a popular following could portray this issue in such a trite and unbalanced manner would be bad enough, but to broadcast this during prime-time television in the run-up to the World Cup in Korea is insensitive and tasteless in the extreme.
